Working for Thompson Island Outward Bound Education Center

To work for Thompson Island Outward Bound Educational Center one must believe in our mission and realize that it takes a multi-talented, flexible and well-coordinated team to run Thompson Island and our programs. That team includes Outward Bound instructors and support staff, our waterfront and boat crew, maintenance and grounds crew, food service staff, Thompson Island Conference Center staff, and our administrative departments. Although most positions are island-based, additionally we staff a mainland office.

Staff Training Opportunities

2010 Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course on Thompson Island, May 29th and 30th.
The cost is $150 for the WFA course, with an additional $99 if you need overnight accommodations.
Thompson Island is also offering an AHA Heartsaver CPR training, during the same weekend, for an
additional $15 dollars.
