Outward Bound Professional on Thompson Island offers targeted programs to promote positive lasting change. All of our programs go beyond a typical seminar in fully engaging the participant. We combine Outward Bound’s proven experiential activities with sound management practices and cutting edge organizational theory. Each of our programs, regardless of focus, involves a thorough needs assessment and customization to meet your goals.
Building High Performance Teams:
Teambuilding training creates successful teams that demonstrate more effective problem solving, decision-making, risk-taking, creativity, conflict resolution, communication, leadership, trust, and change management. We have experience working with cross-functional and virtual teams in addition to more traditional ones.
 Leadership Development:
Leadership development participants experience the skills necessary to be highly successful leaders. By building on strengths and confronting complex situations they enhance their strategic thinking, goal setting, resource allocation, project management, decision-making, and empowerment of others.
Cultural and Strategic Change:
Participants establish clear direction in the face of change as they create shared vision, mission, and values. They build shared culture, jump start relationships, manage transitions, integrate new structures, and expand their sense of what is possible. We also help participants learn to manage the inevitable conflicts that occur during transitions. Our cultural change programs may also touch on diversity and leadership in a multicultural and global workplace.
 New Hire & Graduate Program Orientations:
New employee orientation sessions create productive, effective employees faster while decreasing new employee "get-up-to-speed costs." Foster integration of new hires into the process of integrating corporate culture, values, and expectations. These high-energy programs help people start on the right foot and give them the tools needed for the challenges ahead.
Seminars/Retreats/Conferences:
We add customized learning to meetings, conferences, or retreats. Our training seminars provide a strong catalyst for people getting to know one another at a deeper level. We provide experienced facilitators for your meeting or tailor segments to enhance and support the content and focus of your self-designed retreat. These services are available on Thompson Island or the location of your choice.
