How do I get to Thompson Island? Please click for directions to our dock. To get to Thompson Island you will board the MV Outward Bound. For a ferry schedule click Back to top How long is the ferry ride to the island? The ferry ride from the EDIC dock to Thompson Island is approximately 25 minutes. The MV Outward Bound will also be making a trip from Thompson Island to Spectacle Island, which is about 10 minutes away.  Back to top How much does the ferry cost?
The ferry is $10 per passenger
Back to top Are there restrooms on the ferry? There are no restrooms on the ferry however once you arrive on the island there are flush toilet facilities. Back to top Can I drive to the island? No, you can only get to Thompson Island by ferry. Back to top Am I allowed to bring my own boat? No, we are a private island and therefore, private boats are not permitted to use our docks.
