Thompson Island Outward Bound - Connecting with Courage
|

On our Connecting with Courage expeditions, girls get physically
stronger by sailing, backpacking, or sea kayaking, and build mental muscles
by exercising their imaginations! In addition to learning technical outdoor
skills, girls are given the opportunity to take on leadership roles and
make independent decisions.
Connecting with Courage encourages girls to speak their minds,
share their ideas, express their emotions, be creative and challenge themselves
through sensible physical risks. At the end of the course, girls leave
with wonderful new friendships, enhanced confidence, a greater ability
to express themselves and a clearer sense of their strengths.
