Best Race Ever!
The Thompson Island 4K Trail Run was an amazing day filled with perfect weather, 900 enthusiastic runners and 50 hard working volunteers. We hope everyone who attended had as much fun as we did!
Through the generosity of 47 corporate teams and individual runners, we were able to raise over $145,000 to support Thompson Island Outward Bound Education Center’s youth programs. THANK YOU to everyone who helped us exceed our goal!
We would like to express a special THANK YOU to our presenting sponsor New Balance and our champion sponsors JDL Corporate Interiors, Standish, and State Street. Their leadership support helps make the Thompson Island 4K Trail Run our second largest fundraiser!
We can’t wait to see everyone again next year!

About the Thompson Island 4K Trail Run
In its 13th year, Thompson Island Outward Bound Education Center’s 4K Trail Run continues to be the most unique race in Boston, as runners traverse the 204 acres of rolling hills, forests, meadows, salt marshes and beaches along the trails of Thompson Island.
On September 19th runners started their day with a ferry ride through Boston Harbor to Thompson Island and ended with a cookout celebration! Registration fee included roundtrip ferry transportation to and from Thompson Island, race t-shirt, dinner and drinks from Harpoon Brewery.
